ABOUT THE AUTHOR

"I have been on a healing journey for most of my life."

Dr. Michele L. Blume, PsyD, SEP is a licensed clinical psychologist, Somatic Experiencing practitioner, and an international author. She is also trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. In addition to her traditional education, Dr. Blume is also a certified Reiki practitioner and has received training in assisting individuals through their spiritual awakening journey. Among her greatest passions is the preparation and integration work she does with clients who are currently working with empathogens and sacred plant medicines or for those who are contemplating this particular path. Mindful Somatic Awareness is her first book and is now available in German, Russian, and Korean.

The pages of this book provide you with a basic, yet detailed understanding of the unique relationship between the mind and body and highlights how deep emotional wounds wired into your nervous system shape your mind-body consciousness and point to the origins of your chronic fear and worry.

 

With each chapter, you are given exercises to expand your understanding of how early fear-based experiences impacted you and how they may be linked to your present anxiety and emotional overwhelm. The exercises also provide you with a blueprint for healing these emotional wounds so you can move through your fear and engage life authentically and with an open heart.
